Candidates – Social Worker Qualifications

The majority of Social Worker candidates come from Germany where most have completed 13 years of grammar school (Gymnasium) education, including 9 years’ English tuition.
Whilst Social Work qualifications vary in nature and length of study at either university or university of applied science (Fachhochschule), it is common in Germany to complete a four-year course (8 semesters) in Social Work. Many degree and diploma courses require one year of practical work experience (Anerkennungsjahr) as part of the qualification.

Jacaranda Recruitment assists you with explanations of the equivalency of Social Work qualifications in conjunction with the GSCC and the relevant agencies in Germany.

Many candidates have already worked abroad, in places such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, India and Africa. Some offer a wealth of experience in diverse areas of Social Work gained in several geographical regions of the world.
