Candidates - Source Countries
Jacaranda takes particular care to promote UK job opportunities only in countries where there is no domestic shortage of Social Workers. We adhere to the International Code of Practice for International Recruitment in Social Care (http://www.sccir.org.uk/) .
Our network and promotions are strongest within the European Union where work permits are not required, offering speed and flexibility of deployment.
The majority of our candidates come from Germany where English language levels are high and the Social Work and Social Pedagogy qualifications are both recognized and sought after in the UK.
During 2008 and 2009 Jacaranda extended its source countries to include: Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Romania, Lithuania, Czech Republic amongst other countries.
All candidates are screened before registration with Jacaranda, including checking rights to work, English levels, qualifications, experience and adaptability as well as expectations and motivation.
